SPECIFICATIONS · UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2026

LinkedIn banner size: personal profile and Company Page.

The two Bannerator formats match LinkedIn's current recommended cover-image dimensions: 1584 × 396 pixels for a personal profile and 1512 × 256 pixels for a LinkedIn Page.

Platform specifications checked September 24, 2026.

1584 × 396 pxPersonal profile cover · JPG or PNG · LinkedIn lists a maximum file size below 8 MB.
1512 × 256 pxLinkedIn Page cover · PNG or JPEG · LinkedIn lists a 3 MB maximum for Page images.
4:1 vs 5.9:1The Page cover is much shallower, so copy that works on a personal profile often needs a separate composition.

Personal profile cover: 1584 × 396 px

LinkedIn currently recommends a 1584 × 396 pixel background image for personal profiles. The platform accepts JPG or PNG and notes that the final appearance can change with browser-window size and screen resolution.

Company Page cover: 1512 × 256 px

LinkedIn's current Page image specification lists 1512 × 256 pixels as both the minimum and recommended Page cover size. Because the format is significantly shallower than a personal cover, large multi-line copy becomes risky much faster.

Do not reuse the same composition by just resizing it.

The personal and Company Page canvases are not interchangeable. Resizing a 4:1 personal banner into the much wider Page ratio changes type scale, whitespace and the relationship between a logo, headline and call to action.

  • Personal profile: allow room for profile identity elements and individual positioning.
  • Company Page: favor fewer words, stronger horizontal grouping and more margin from edges.
  • Both: preview the final composition in context rather than judging the raw image alone.

Bannerator exports at the selected production dimensions.

Choose Personal or Company page in the editor before you compose. The canvas switches dimensions, the preview updates, and Download PNG exports the selected resolution.

Workflow: choose the format first → compose → preview desktop/mobile → export. Avoid designing at an arbitrary size and resizing at the end.

Start at the correct canvas size.

Bannerator has both current cover presets built into the editor.
